The Preferred Capital Advisors management team is led by Dan Corfee, Craig Zarro and Matthew Swanston. Combined, they have spent almost 75 years within the Commercial Real Estate Industry. In addition to Preferred Capital Advisors, Dan, Craig and Matt worked previously with Union Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Group, the Panattoni Development Company, Majestic Realty Co. and Cohen Financial.
Dan Corfee is the president and founder of Preferred Capital Advisors. Dan assists the PCA team with management oversight, training, analytical support and strategy formation. Dan’s primary emphasis both personally and for the company is to be of service to the client. Dan is also the managing partner and founder of Oak Capital Partners (OCP I, II & III), three private real estate equity investment entities focused on generating returns for its investors through direct investment with best in class operators.
Since co-founding Preferred Capital Advisors, Craig Zarro has closed over $4.0B in real estate transactions. Working primarily on the debt side, Craig has extensive knowledge in structuring permanent, construction and interim loans working directly with all sources of capital including Banks, Life Insurance Companies and Private Capital. Craig also serves as a valued member of Oak Capital Partners I, II and III, three separate private discretionary equity funds focused specifically on real estate investing.
With over 20 years of commercial real estate finance experience, Matt performs as an advisor to commercial real estate development and investment companies. His assignments involve arranging debt and equity to acquire, reposition, develop or recapitalize income properties throughout the United States. Matt joined Preferred Capital Advisors shortly after it was founded, became a Principal in 2007 and helped grow the company to where it is today. Matt has closed over $4 Billion in transactions.
Ron Peters joined Preferred Capital Advisors in 2009, became a principal partner with the firm in 2013 and heads up the firm’s multifamily lending platform. Ron is one of the top multifamily loan advisors in the Western United States and with over twenty years’ experience has originated more than $4 billion in multifamily mortgages.
Tim Meier joined Preferred Capital Advisors in 2009 as a Principal overseeing the Southern California region. His core competency around structured finance and joint venture equity and advisory, compliments his additional experience on permanent, construction, bridge and mezzanine debt.
Mark joined Preferred Capital Advisors in 2016 as a Managing Director. He manages the firm’s business development, marketing and operations as well as providing debt and equity capital solutions for clients of the firm. Mark has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience.
